We have reached capacity for serving students in the Summer Camp program (Sessions 1 and 2). Students that do not receive a space will be put on a waiting list.

The Wheatland School District is hosting its 23rd Annual Summer Camp!  "Campers" engage in hands-on activities that are both educational and fun. 

 

Space is limited. Priority enrollment will be given to students who qualify under the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act and Foster Youth, families’ free and reduced priced meals status, and facility and staffing capacity.

Children's enrollment must be confirmed by the Summer Camp Office before they are allowed to attend. 

Students participate in activities in mixed grade level groups. Students transition between classrooms independently. The program is not responsible for personal items.

 
Theme: Rainforest Adventure (chosen by student votes)
 

 

When: There will be two Camp sessions offered this year at the Lone Tree Campus on Beale AFB. 

 
Both sessions will be held Monday through Fridays, 8AM-5PM

 

Students must attend regularly (i.e. no more than 2 absences per session)
 
 
Camp Session 1: June 9th-27th  (Holiday: Closed on June 19th)
Students enrolled in a Wheatland School District school and who are currently in grades TK-8th (in 2024-2025 school year) are eligible for the June session. Focus: After school style disguised learning enrichment activities provided by para-educators.
 
Camp Session 2: July 14th-31st  Students enrolled in a Wheatland School District school and who are currently in grades TK-7th (in 2024-2025 school year) are eligible for the July session. Focus: Academic learning with certificated teachers for 4 hours per day while at camp, the remaining time will be spent with para-educators.

 

Where: Lone Tree School on Beale AFB  (Camp Office is Room 35; Phone: 530-788-7342)

 

Transportation: Bus transportation is available to and from Wheatland

ARRIVAL (MORNING) From Wheatland to Camp:
8:00     711 South Olive Street (by church across from bus shop) *(Bus leaves promptly at 8:03 AM)            
8:09     111 Main Street (across from the District Office)
8:11     Bear Ridge Apartments
8:14     Wheatland Ranch (Park)
8:22     Corner of CFW Road & Spenceville Road (any students on Spencville Rd. and CFW area)
8:30    Arrive at Summer Camp (Lone Tree School by Flag Pole)
               Students need to be at their bus stops a minimum of 5 minutes before the bus arrives.
 
DEPARTURE (AFTERNOON) To Wheatland:
4:15     Leave Summer Camp (Lone Tree School by Preschool Parking Lot)               
4:20    Hollis Lane                                                                                
4:27     Wheatland Ranch
4:34     District Office (stairs before building)
4:38     711 South Olive Street (by church parking lot area)
               Parents need to be at the bus stops at least 10 minutes before the bus arrives to pick up students.

Food: Breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack are free! 

Cost:  No cost for the Camp program. 

The Lakehouse Pool is available during the June Session Only (Students that are 2nd grade and up during the 2024-2025 school year are eligible): Camp is able to walk students to and from the pool this year. The pool will be open Mondays through Thursdays in the mornings. Note: Students will have the opportunity to swim at least once per week. The pool is 3ft deep at the shallow end; and students must pass a swim test with the Beale Lifeguards to swim in the deep end and use the water slides.

A Camp Confirmation Packet or notification that your child is on a waiting list will be emailed to the email that you provided no later than May 30th.
